I'm impressed that there was a goal to create subsidized housing in Dockside Green. Disappointing that they aren't going forward with that, but not surprising. My only concern is the price of the condos, which are pretty sky high. I was able to attend some of the early lectures preceding Dockside Green's development, and one of the goals was to create subsidized housing units as a part of the community so that the eco-element could integrate the holistic notion of socio-economic status as well. However, from what I've understood more recently, this doesn't seem to be happening, leaving the community potentially lacking in diversity... An admirable project indeed.
