Dirty Camping

If you’re like me and love camping, you probably know that you do not leave your trash on site. Too bad some people forget about this.

I went camping this week with my friend and we decided to head out with the canoe on lake “trente-et-un miles” in the Province of Quebec. We found this great place on the side of the lake with a nice flat spot for the tent and a ready made fire pit. I was quite upset when I saw a bunch of trash all over the place. I mean, it’s so easy to bring a garbage bag and bring all your waste back home.

To avoid any problem with garbage you should always bring your food in reusable containers.

It’s terrible to see such irresponsible acts. Sometimes these people are just ignorant or just don’t care. They don’t even realize that what they are doing will cause massive ecological damage in the long run.

It never ceases to amaze me that even though people come to our camp site to enjoy the beauty of our coastline and the quite of our countryside and then go on to leave a dirty great stinking pile of rubbish on the site when they leave. Do they really think that like in the cities there are cleaners who come round after them to pick up the mess?

Some people have either no respect or no idea.

Its quite surprising that some people come camping without even any dustbin bags to take their litter away. We find its far easier to supply dustbin bags on the way in to our site to all users than go around after they leave picking up their rubbish.

I hate dirty camping.. Thanks for the helpful info. We bring our own plastic for our waste and we always leave our place clean.
