This is a great idea, and I love the fact it's good for the environment. Anyone know where this is actually being sold?

Hi Frederick, if the claims are true then this is a terrific thing. Who would have thought about water bottles being compostable. And they can be recycled too and with other plastics?! Nice to hear. But I guess we need to verify these claims. Let’s hope they’re true but. We in http://climatarians.org can feel less bothered about throwing our bottles away after drinking.

Green, vanishing bottles!
Joost Hoogstrate

That's a great idea. I occasionally drink bottled water and feel absolutely terrible when I throw the empty container in the trash. With this bottle, at least I'll know that the bottle won't remain in a landfill for millenniums. Great find.

This is a great way to help the environment! Plus the bottles don't have harmful chemicals that can contaminate the drinking water, so its keeping us healthy too! Thanks!

What about the fact that NatureWorks PLA bottles use more fossil fuels and water than that of standard PET plastics and where is the data that PLA can be recycled along with other plastics? I really hope that people are aware of the truth behind such absurd claims.
