Barack Obama: Finally an eco-conscious president in the White House
By Frederick Carle on November 5th, 2008
After 8 years of lies and too much money spent on the war in Iraq by the Bush administration, the Americans can now believe in a brighter future. After being let down and pushed aside by their own government, the citizens of the United States can have hope. In fact, by electing Barack Obama a step has been made in the right direction.
For the past few weeks I’ve been scared of ending up with John McCain as the President of our southern neighbors. His campaign was focused on offshore drilling to improve gas prices and help the economy. This would have been devastating for the environment and really going in the wrong direction. I believe that having him as president would have been like going back 30 years instead of making progress.
The way Barack Obama will help the United States get back on their feet is probably the best, most reliable and sustainable method you can have. Investing in GREEN energy!
This involves less dependence on oil, and keeping jobs within the country instead of overseas. More jobs at home goes hand in hand with a better economy. Barack Obama wants greener cars built in the USA on the road. That involves creating jobs. He wants renewable energy. This also involves creating jobs.
If you think of everything that revolves around Barack Obama’s policies you can find something good for everybody. This is why he’s a president for the people.
Now all he has to do is make work of what he said.
